Basic charting, and data display is a given, as is the logging and handling of equipment alerts. A straightforward protocol for managing alerts is described in the online manual, and there is plenty of flexibility in the system to allow detailed auditing should it be required.

Detailed administration features allow you to configure users, units, rooms and remote stations, tailor locations and time zones, and generate reports and downloads. Everything you need is stored, with your system replicated to a backup server should our main server require maintenance.

Real time views allow you to put screens in your laboratories to provide workers with an immediate indication of the status of lab equipment. User logging is implicit in the system, and every action is recorded.

At the heart of the Monikel system is the secure cloud-based software, which is underpinned by an advanced database system. Efficiently structured, and designed, this system was originally developed to process data received from our remotely located weather stations.

In 2007 we were asked to expand our systems into laboratory monitoring by a high-volume food testing company, an existing customer, who was so impressed with the reliability and functionality of our weather stations that when greater lifecycle traceability was required, they asked us to work with them to expand our systems and link their field trials data with their GLP laboratory.

The core structure of the Monikel cloud-based system means we can integrate not only our lab and weather systems, but any other type of data feed required. Consequently, Monikel systems are now supplied to clients who require exacting standards in agricultural, food testing, pharmaceutical and medical laboratories.
